This blog site is nearly five years old, and I’ve come to realize that I’ve never directly answered the question posed in its title. If you’ve been reading along over the years, you understand it by now—but just to have one post that speaks to it plainly, here it is. This blog is about one central question: What Is Hebrewing?
“Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones: those keeping the commands of Elohim and the faith of Yahoshua (The Messiah who is commonly and erroneously known as Jesus).”
— Revelation 14:12
Everywhere you look today, people are seeking identity, direction, and truth. Some are coming out of religion, others out of secular tradition, and many more out of confusion. The question is the same: What now? Where do I go from here?
This is where the question of the generations —and the question at the heart of this blog—rings loudest:
What Is Hebrewing?
It’s more than a catchy phrase. Its more than the name of this website. It’s a calling. It’s a choice. It’s a daily walk.
“Hebrewing” is not about becoming Jewish. It’s not about signing up for a religion. It’s about returning (repenting) to the ancient path (Jeremiah 6:16)—the original way—walked by Abraham, Moses, the prophets, and most importantly, Yahoshua HaMashiach, the Son of YAH (who again is commonly and erroneously called “Jesus Christ”).
The Way: Not Just a Path—But The Path That Leads to Life Perfected
Before the followers of The Messiah were ever called “Christians,” the early Hebrew Israelite believers of The Messiah referred to themselves as followers of “The Way.”
“And asked letters… that if he found any of this Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.”
— Acts 9:2“But some became stubborn, rejecting his message and publicly speaking against the Way. So Paul left… and took the believers with him…”
— Acts 19:9 “About that time, serious trouble developed in Ephesus concerning the Way.”
— Acts 19:23 “And I persecuted the followers of the Way, hounding some to death, arresting both men and women and throwing them in prison.”
— Acts 22:4 “I do confess to you, however, that I worship the God (Elohim) of our fathers according to the Way, which they call a cult. I believe everything that is laid down by the Law (Torah) and written in the Prophets,”
Acts 24:14 BSB
This Way wasn’t a new religion. It was the Torah lived out—now through The risen Messiah. Those of The Way were still obeying Torah! They were still walking in obedience to The Most High YAH’s instructions, still keeping the Shabbat (Sabbath), still gathering to celebrate the Holy Feast Days, but now with more clarity: The Promised One had come, He walked perfectly in The Way, because He is The Way—Yahoshua is The Way! He is the Word of YAH! He is Torah!
“Yahoshua answered, “I am The Way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
John 14:6

Torah + Testimony = The Way of Set-Apartness
“Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones: those keeping the commandments (Torah) of YAH and the belief (faith & obedience) of Yahoshua.”
— Revelation 14:12
Again, this verse sums it up, to be “Hebrewing” means to walk in the way, obeying YAH’s Torah and believing in His Anointed One, Yahoshua. Not one without the other.
- Torah is the path—the way of righteousness.
- Yahoshua is the One who showed us The Way perfectly and He guides us as we follow Him.

Yahoshua is The Word of YAH, who became flesh and lived among us (John 1:1-4, 14). He is The Way (John 14:6). So to follow Him is to walk in the path, following The Torah as He did.
Back to the Roots
“This is what YAH says: “Stand at the crossroads and look. Ask for the ancient PATH: ‘Where is the good WAY?’ Then walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it!’”
— Jeremiah 6:16
What is the old path… What is the good way… What is Hebrewing?:
- It’s humbling oneself, praying, seeking YAH’s face, and turning away from wicked ways, and returning to the ancient path—true repentance. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
- It’s honoring the Shabbat (Sabbath Day)—not Sunday, not church tradition—but the 7th day of the week which YAH blessed and set apart/made holy. (Genesis 2:2–3; Exodus 20:8–11)
- It’s learning about and keeping the Biblical holy days (aka holidays), the moedim (appointed times) listed in Leviticus 23—it’s not a “Jewish” thing, it’s YAH’s calendar which He commands us keep forever.
- It’s eating clean—not because of legalism, but because YAH calls it set-apart. (Leviticus 11:44–47, 1 Timothy 4:4-5 The Word (Torah) & Prayer)
- It’s knowing who you are—that you’re part of the scattered and awakened House of Yisra’ĕl, the seed of Abraham. (
Deuteronomy 30:1–3; Isaiah 1:,3 and 44:1–5; Ezekiel 37:21–23, Galatians 3:29) - And it’s clinging to the belief that Yahoshua is the Lamb slain, the soon-coming King, and the firstborn of many brothers. (John 1:29; Revelation 5:12; Romans 8:29)
So… What Is Hebrewing?
Walking in the Way of The Messiah and trying to teach others to do so (Matthew 5:19).
And walking in the Way of the Messiah means:
- Guarding the commands of YAH, like He did.
- Trusting in the redemption of Yahoshua, like the early believers did.
- Turning back to the ancient path, like the prophets urged us to.
- Living set-apart according to Torah, not assimilated with the world.
- Following The Set-Apart Spirit of YAH, not your flesh.
- Enduring until the end, with patience, joy, wisdom, and conviction.
If/Then—Walk…
IF you’ve answered the call to return to Biblical instruction (Torah)…
IF you understand and agree more with Torah each time you read & study it…
IF you’ve left churchianity, tradition, and confusion behind…
And IF you’re seeking YAH in spirit and in truth…
THEB you already know the answer to: What is Hebrewing? And you’re not alone. Keep walking strong, every day, in The Way.
“Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, or set foot on the path of sinners, or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the Torah of YAH (The Way), and on His Torah he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in season, whose leaf does not wither, and who prospers in all he does. Not so the wicked! For they are like chaff driven off by the wind. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. For YAH guards the path of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.”
Psalms 1:1-6
“But those who wait upon YAH (obediently and patiently endure and hope in Him) will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31 BSB
Want to deepen your walk in The Way? Walk through the longest chapter in the whole Bible: Psalm 119—it’s a love letter to The Torah. Read and meditate on just one stanza (eight verses) a day, and let each line guide your steps on the ancient path. This isn’t just a reading plan—it’s realignment. Restoration. Revival. Instruction. Let the Word shape your walk. Let The Way become your life.
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of YAH.”
Romans 12:2
Until next time, shalom ✌🏾

Abraham was chosen because he walked in wisdom and obedience, receiving instruction directly from YAH. He found favor in YAH’s eyes—not just for himself, but because YAH knew he would teach his children to walk in The Way of YAH. That’s why YAH shared His plans with him—because true servants don’t just believe… they lead in righteousness.
“And YAH said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do? Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and through him all the nations of the earth will be blessed. For I have chosen him, so that he will command his children and his household after him to keep the WAY of YAH by doing what is right and just, in order that YAH may bring upon Abraham what He has promised.”
Genesis 18:17-19
