Shalom family,
I want to encourage you all, not only to read the Scriptures for yourself but to also read them aloud for others to hear & learn. Whenever we gather, especially when we gather with others who follow the Scriptures, we should ensure that we assemble to pray, worship, and read the Scriptures together. It is imperative that we encourage and strengthen ourselves, our families, and our congregations & assemblies, through hearing The Word of The Most High YAH. Let us remember how the Apostle Paul/Shaul instructed Timothy:
“Until I come, devote yourself to public reading [of Scripture], to preaching and to teaching [the sound doctrine of God’s (YAH’s) word].”
1 Timothy 4:13 AMP
He said public reading of Scripture along with preaching & teaching; the public reading of Scripture is paramount still today since so few people actually read full books of Scripture. Back in the day, most people had to wait to assembly so they could read & hear the Scriptures as they were read from scrolls, today we can read & hear any time day or night thanks to our phones and other devices.
And let us always remember, when we read in the so-called New Testament where the writers say “Scripture” they are speaking about the so-called Old Testament. Why is the reading of Scripture so essential? One answer is in another one of Shaul’s quotable one-liners:
“ALL Scripture (“Old Testament”) is God (YAH)-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage];”
2 Timothy 3:16 AMP
So we read Scripture (privately & publically) for instruction, conviction, correction, and training, and we also read it because of our obedience to and fear of YAH:
“Then Moses commanded them, saying, “At the end of every seven years, at the time of year when debts are forgiven, at the Feast of Booths (Tabernacles/Sukkot), when all Israel comes to appear before the Lord your God (YAH your Elohim) in the place which He chooses, you shall read this law (Torah) before all [the people of] Israel so that they may hear. Assemble the people, the men and the women and children and the stranger (resident alien, foreigner) within your cities, so that they may hear and learn and fear YAH your Elohim [with awe-filled reverence and profound respect], and be careful to obey ALL the words of this Torah. Their children, who have not known [the law], will hear and learn to fear [and worship] YAH your Elohim, as long as you live in the land which you are crossing the Jordan to possess.””
Deuteronomy 31:10-13 AMP
“Every day, from the first day to the last, Ezra read from the Book of the Law (Torah) of YAH. They celebrated the feast for seven days; on the eighth day there was a [closing] solemn assembly in accordance with the ordinance.”
Nehemiah 8:18 AMP

Side note: for those who don’t know, I am part of The ARK and when we gather during Sukkot, we read the whole book of Deuteronomy every year, not just every seventh year, because we have new people coming into the knowledge of the truth of Scripture every year who are new to fearing and obeying The Most High YAH.
At the time of writing this blog, many of us are preparing to keep the Feast of Sukkot, we do well to assemble in our memorial keeping of YAH’s feasts, but let us never neglect what should be done while we are assembled, as we read above, lef us read Torah so that we can ensure that we know YAH’s instruction:
“and let us consider [thoughtfully] how we may encourage one another to love and to do good deeds, NOT forsaking our meeting together [as believers for worship and instruction], as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more [faithfully] as you see the day [of Messiah’s return] approaching.”
Hebrews 10:24-25 AMP
Again family: let US gather to worship YAH & read His Instruction/Torah!
I get it, some of us have a hard time reading (both publically & privately), thankfully we have many tools at our disposal these days, no matter if you enjoy reading or not, we should do all that we can to hear and do what YAH’s Word says. We can listen to Scripture via different Bible apps, and now more people are utilizing AI to create AI Bible reading clips & movies. Check these out, and best believe, there are others and they are only going to get better, if YAH gives us time. I am still trying to find some or make some videos that have corrected the names of YAH, His Son, and our Hebrew Israelite ancestors… but until then, all I can say is HalleluYAH for these.
Again, videos like those above aren’t perfect, but they are a major step in the right direction. I grew up with silly imagery & dialogue like this junk below 🤦🏾♂️😂😮💨
Start a reading plan today, read Scripture yourself and with others, listen along to Scripture somehow someway, every day of your life. And to close this out I want to challenge and encourage you. Check out this blog for more info:
Until next time, shalom ✌🏾

A lot of people ask, ‘What book should I start with?’ or ‘Which books should I read?’ My answer: read all the books of your Bible—and start at the beginning.
I especially recommend reading through the first five books—commonly called the Torah—at least five full times before reading through the entire Bible. Here’s a reading plan to help guide you. And feel free to skip the devotional cartoons if they’re not your thing.

For additional help and insight in your Scripture study, I highly, highly recommend using chronological whole-Bible reading plans like these. You can read through them on your own or with family and friends. Don’t rush the process—if it takes more than a year, that’s perfectly okay. Give these a try:

Hello Yahrahn, Roni here from the ARK. The subject of this note is the TORAH, as it is the subject of the article above. Pls watch this short which I pulled from YT and it will explain my thinking – https://youtube.com/shorts/h9xc8UKH1Ss?si=ShAo-80O5oyerGcM
