Picking up where we left off in the “What’s in a name” series, let’s finish up with what the Bible tells us about the people whom The Most High chose as His people, how we can identify them today, and what is required of them now.
Many people worldwide will consider us, who are the so-called Black/Negro people, to be a cursed people. Is that an unfair assessment considering our longstanding plight? Have our ancestors suffered atrocities worldwide? Have we, as a people been stolen & sold, enslaved, renamed, beaten, raped, scattered, mocked, abused, mistreated, indoctrinated, etc…? Of course we have, and what does the Bible say will happen to the chosen people of The Most High, if and when they as a people, disobey the commands & instructions of The Most High Yah? Well… Let us read and review some key verses from Deuteronomy 28.
“But it shall come to pass, IF thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD (יהוה Yah) thy God (Elohim), to observe to DO all HIS commandments and HIS statutes which I command thee this day; that ALL these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:”
Deuteronomy 28:15 KJV
This is a key clause that has been overlooked by most of the world for centuries. That “if” is major, why? Because if The Most High’s people do NOT do as He commands, they will be a cursed people. Now, Deuteronomy 28 does in fact, start off with another clause that also gets overlooked, but the set of blessings which follow that clause found in the first few verses, gets quoted and sung in churches worldwide, nevertheless most of the people who say they are living in the blessings of those verses, do not meet the clause requirement of verse 1:
“And it shall come to pass, IF thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD (יהוה YAH) thy God (Elohim), to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD (יהוה YAH) thy God (Elohim) will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:”
Deuteronomy 28:1 KJV
So according to scripture, the chosen people of The Most High Yah, will be a people/a nation who is either blessed or cursed depending on their adherence to the commands & instructions of Yah. Here’s a question for you: do the Israelis & Ashkenazi Jews, fit these blessings or curses as a people, or do the so-called Black/Negro/African America people fit the blessings or curses as a people?
As soon as you finish reading this blog, read all of the blessings & curses found in Deuteronomy 28 verses for yourself, and if you don’t have a copy of the Bible, just google those verses. I will assure you, neither the Ashkenazi Jews nor do we the so-called Black people have each of the blessings currently overtaking our people as Scripture says. So, if no people group is fully living in the blessings, that must mean, according to scripture, that the people of The Most High, His chosen people, must currently be living as a cursed people—Again, in our current time, the nation, the collective people of The Most High must be a cursed people since they are not a blessed people currently.
That’s a bold statement I know; so let us allow Scripture to confirm this truth. Again, read the entire chapter for yourself, read it slowly and thoroughly, but let us also look at a small number of key verses together, and remember these curses follow the curse clause found in verse 15. The curses are detailed in verses 16 through 68 and yes, I know, that’s a whole lot more curse-verses, compared to the 14 blessing-verses, that contrasting point is important. The Most High is explicit, His terms, conditions & consequences are not hidden in fine print, no, they are bold & unwavering, and His people must understand that it’s not a game:
“Thy (Israelite) sons and thy (Israelite) daughters shall be given unto another people (nation), and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long: and there shall be no might in thine hand (to get your children back). The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed always: so that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.”
Deuteronomy 28:32-34 KJV
So let’s paraphrase this and consider who this applies to. If the Israelites disobeyed the commandments of The Most High, they will suffer the curses of:
- having their sons & daughters taken from them, by other nations of people
- having to work for other nations
- suffering from oppression & suppression
- be driven insane after looking at their condition
“And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among ALL nations whither the LORD (יהוה YAH) shall lead thee.”
Deuteronomy 28:37 KJV
🤔 Hmmm, the disobedient nation of Hebrew Israelites would become a cursed people scattered throughout the world, and they would be considered & called:
- a ruined people
- a people renamed and undefined
- a worldwide joke
“Moreover ALL these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed (as a people/nation); because thou hearkenedst NOT unto the voice of the LORD (יהוה YAH) thy God (Elohim), to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded thee: and they (the curses) shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed FOREVER.”
Deuteronomy 28:45-46 KJV
So these curses for disobedience, they will be a sign & wonder, an identifier as to who they are, and the sign of the curse would be on them and their children forever, until they as a people repent and obey the commandments of The Most High.
Now, let us jump to the end of the list, for the next curse:
“And the LORD (יהוה YAH) shall bring thee into Egypt again with SHIPS (slave-ships), by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen (slaves), and no man shall buy (redeem) you.”
Deuteronomy 28:68 KJV
So the disobedient nation of Israel would be sent back into slavery, remember the harsh slavery of Egypt? This time slavery would be further away, by slave ships. This time they would be sold to their enemies and no person would redeem them or buy them back. Keep in mind, we are talking about a nation of people taken away and sold… A nation utterly destroyed.
A couple more questions: Who would be their enemies, and what would that slavery & oppression look like? For that, read these verses slowly with consideration:
“Because thou servedst NOT the LORD (יהוה YAH) thy God (Elohim) with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things; therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD (יהוה YAH) shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and He shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until He have destroyed thee. The LORD (יהוה YAH) shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand; a nation of fierce countenance, which shall NOT regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:”
Deuteronomy 28:47-50 KJV
You’ve read this much, and now I’ll just flat out say it — our people, those of us who are scattered into many nations worldwide, we who collectively do not know exactly what nationality we were before our ancestors became enslaved people in these nations we now find ourselves, we are His chosen people cursed as we are—We are the people of Israel. We, the enslaved, the lynched, the proverbial cursed people of the entire world, we are the people. Long ago we knew who we were and to whom we belonged, but that knowledge & understanding was destroyed as it was beaten out of us and we were indoctrinated in the lands of our captivity.
This series is concluding with some major jumps I know, but future conversations will continue to address these points. Before we end, I must remind our people that once we come to know who we are, then we must do our part. Oh yes, we have a responsibility to ourselves, our nation, the nations of the world, but most importantly to The Most High. We are His people and we must remember this:
“IF MY PEOPLE, which are called by MY name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; THEN will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV
There was another clausal statement of note above. That is the direction, we as His people need to go… we must repent/turn from our own ways and return back to obeying the commands and instructions of The Most High… it’s our only hope, and Deuteronomy chapter 30 shows us what the result will look like.
Unfortunately however, today, this is where we still are:
“The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib: but Israel (us/we) doth NOT know, My people doth NOT consider. Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD (יהוה YAH), they have provoked (by breaking commandments) the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward. Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment. Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.”
Isaiah 1:3-7 KJV
Our country land was destroyed, other people/strangers live in it now, our people were are laden with iniquity, and we as a people still do not know nor consider who we are or to whom we belong… but I’m here to tell you, we are Israel scattered, but not for too much longer because more of us are awakening each day to this truth and repenting—HalleluYah/Praise YAH! It’s going according to how it was written:
“For I knew that they would not hear me, because it is a stiffnecked (hardheaded) people: BUT in the land of their captivities they shall remember themselves, and shall know that I am the Lord (יהוה YAH) their God (Elohim): for I will give them an heart, and ears to hear: and they shall praise Me in the land of their captivity, and think upon MY name, and return from their stiff neck, and from their wicked deeds: for they SHALL remember the way of their fathers, which sinned before the Lord (יהוה YAH).”

Now if you want to argue against this, I can understand that feeling, but I would insist that you first give this playlist your attention to see if your questions or concerns will be addressed in these videos, I’m most certain they will be.
I pray that The Father gives you ears to hear and a mind to understand the truth found within His Word and that you may understand that He named and chose a people out of all nations of the world, and if you happen to be an Israelite, it’s time to rejoice.
“He has revealed his words to Jacob, his decrees and regulations to Israel. He has not done this for any other nation; they do not know his regulations. Praise the Lord (יהוה YAH)!” (HalleluYah!)
