Let Us Be Thankful Every Day, Especially On The Biblical Days Of Giving Thanks, but ‘Thanksgiving Day’ Is Not Our Holiday Day

As the world celebrates various cultural and national days of thanksgiving, it’s essential to examine the holiday known as ‘Thanksgiving’ in the United States. While many countries observe days of thanks, America’s Thanksgiving Day presents an opportunity, especially for self-proclaimed Bible-believing Americans, to reflect on genuine Biblical thanksgiving, and evaluate their celebration of the national holiday. While many intend to honor our Heavenly Father, they often overlook explicit biblical guidelines for proper thanksgiving. This discrepancy warrants exploration.

Unfortunately, most churches lead their congregations to miss out on the Biblical Fall feast thanksgiving celebration (the festival of Sukkot), despite the clear instructions in Scripture to celebrate it with thanksgiving and joy every year. Again, most churches teach their people to ignore Sukkot altogether—often without ever mentioning it at all— all the while enthusiastically teaching & observing America’s Thanksgiving Day as a religious tradition. This is a double disservice, made even worse when you consider the troubling history behind the American Thanksgiving holiday, and how it is celebrated as both a national and religious event. Before exploring the origins and history of America’s ironically named “Thanksgiving Day,” let us first review how, why, and when Scripture commands the celebration of the Biblical fall feast of thanksgiving—Sukkot—as a yearly observance during the harvest season.

“You SHALL keep it (Sukkot) as a feast to the Lord (YAH) for seven days in the year. It SHALL be a statute FOREVER in your generations. You shall celebrate it in the seventh month (7th month on the Biblical calendar). You shall dwell in booths (tents) for seven days. All who are native Israelites shall dwell in booths, that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord (YAH) your God (Elohim).’ So Moses declared to the children of Israel the feasts of the Lord (YAH).”

Leviticus‬ ‭23‬:‭41‬-‭44‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

America’s Thanksgiving Day stands in opposition to the Bible and the ways of the Most High—and rest assured, we will support this seemingly controversial statement (and others) with Scripture and historical facts. Also, keep this in mind: the highest levels of national & Christian leadership understand that well-intentioned people often cling to and love the lies and traditions they are indoctrinated with from childhood; they’re not alone in this—the nations & religious leaders of the world also teach their citizens & followers to embrace many falsehoods. So, the USA and its churches are no exception, let us never forget Revelation 12:9. Accepting the truth is never easy for some, even when it requires choosing obedience to The Word of The Most High over loving long-standing traditions of the world, nation, church, and even family.

“Blessed are those doing His commands, so that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of life, and to enter through the gates into the city. “But outside are the dogs and those who enchant with drugs, and those who whore, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and ALL who LOVE and DO FALSEHOOD (lies).”👀‭‭

Ḥazon (Revelation)‬ ‭22‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭TS2009‬‬

You might be saying:

“Alright Yahrahn, let's get to the bottom of this. What’s wrong with Thanksgiving? Because look here Yahrahn, I was with you when you talked against Halloween/Samhain/All Soul’s Day in your other blogs, and I heard you (a little bit) when you talked about Christmas and its Saturnalia & Yuletide origins, but how in the world could anything be wrong with Thanksgiving? Giving thanks is Biblical… There are plenty of verses about it!”

Yes, giving thanks to our Father in heaven is indeed Biblical. Many Scriptures encourage us to give thanks, but there are also specific verses that instruct us on how, when, and why we are to do so. Here’s the question: does America’s Thanksgiving Day—its origins, focus, and traditions—align with the Biblical instructions for thanksgiving? If you believe the answer is “yes,” start by watching the video below before reading further. Then, take the time to do your research and reconcile your thoughts, understanding, and practices.

If you are pressed for time, skip ahead to the 12:45 minute mark and watch from there, but please ensure that you watch it fully before you complete the reconciliation of your thoughts.

Quick digression: Have you ever noticed those basket-like Thanksgiving decorations? They’re called cornucopias. Curious about their significance to Thanksgiving? A quick Google search uncovers their intriguing Pagan origins. I’ve attached a screenshot to get you started on your research.

Alright, let’s continue… You might be thinking, “Why choose between Thanksgiving & Sukkot? Since family will be home from work and school, can’t we combine Sukkot with a little Thanksgiving/Friendsgiving traditions, I mean, they do occur during the fall harvest season right?” If you did think about something along those lines, you’re not alone in considering this merger. A quick Google search for “Sukkot Thanksgiving” revealed some unfortunate results, check them out 😑:

🙄😑😮‍💨 What?!?…
🙄😑😮‍💨 You gotta be kidding me…

Although some Native Americans may have had knowledge of The Most High and retained elements of Sukkot traditions, their fall harvest celebrations, observed during the early days of European settlement, were distinctly different and separate from Sukkot.

Family—Please, don’t do it! Do NOT mix the genuinely holy/set-apart feast days & festivals which were ordained by The Most High YAH (see Exodus 23:16 & 34:22, and Leviticus 23), with the disingenuous, unholy worldwide feast days & festivals—Do not fall into the trap!

“do NOT fall into the trap of following their (other nations) customs and worshiping their gods. Do not inquire about their gods, saying, ‘How do these nations worship their gods? I want to follow their example.’”

Deuteronomy‬ ‭12‬:‭30‬ ‭NLT‬‬

My family, my so-called Negroes who are actually the bloodline Israelites: My beloved Israelite family, let us reject the world’s traditions and return to the instructions from our Father in Heaven, The Most High YAH, as outlined in the Torah. Let us demonstrate to the world how to genuinely praise, worship, celebrate, and give thanks to YAH in spirit and truth. As the chosen people of The Most High YAH, we were called to be a holy/set-apart people, a kingdom of priests (Exodus 19:6 & 1 Peter 2:9). Our role is not only to teach our own people but also to guide all nations in obeying YAH’s commands. To those who are currently in church ministry, I especially urge you to follow the divine instructions given to the priests, as recorded in Scripture.

“You (priests) must distinguish between what is sacred and what is common, between what is ceremonially unclean and what is clean. And you (priest) must teach the Israelites all the decrees that the Lord (YAH) has given them through Moses.”

Leviticus‬ ‭10‬:‭10‬-‭11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“They (the priests) will teach MY people the difference between what is holy (set apart) and what is common, what is ceremonially clean and unclean.

Ezekiel‬ ‭44‬:‭23‬ ‭NLT‬‬

America’s Thanksgiving Day is common/unclean. Worshiping & thanking “The Lord”, by keeping vain family traditions & the common/unclean customs of worldwide nations, while at the same time forgoing the celebration of the commanded Biblical feast days, brings these verses to mind:

“Jesus (Yahoshua) replied, “And why do you, BY YOUR TRADITIONS, VIOLATE THE DIRECT COMMANDMENTS OF GOD (YAH)? You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you, for he wrote, ‘These people honor me with their LIPS, BUT their HEARTS are far from me. THEIR WORSHIP is A FARCE, for they teach man-made ideas AS commands from God.’ ”

Matthew‬ ‭15‬:‭3‬, ‭7‬-‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The observance of America’s Thanksgiving Day is made abominably worse when individuals claim to give thanks to the God of the Bible while consuming unclean meats prohibited in Scripture. Notably, pork and shellfish are prominent examples of these forbidden foods often present at Thanksgiving gatherings 🐖🦀🦞🦐 🛑🤦🏾‍♂️. This contradiction undermines genuine thanksgiving to The Most High. For clarity on distinguishing between clean and unclean meats, watch this insightful 5-minute video:

Celebrating Thanksgiving despite knowing its true history and biblical objections would be hypocritical. Ask yourself: Can you truly thank and honor your Father while disregarding His values? The Most High’s Word provides clear guidance on how to love and thank Him (let us remember Deuteronomy 12:32 & Leviticus 23). Unfortunately, the Thanksgiving holiday does not align with these biblical principles.

Let go of these sinful so-called holidays/holy days that the world loves and teaches us to keep. Skip the celebration of America’s Thanksgiving Day, and spend the day truly thanking The Most High YAH for the truth and all your blessings, by obeying Him and His commands over the traditions of men! Thank YAH daily, join with family & friends often, learn about and gather together with others during YAH’s biblical feasts throughout the year—and in everything that you do, love YAH and try with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength to live in a way that pleases Him!

“Raise a shout for יהוה (YAH), All the earth! Serve יהוה (YAH) with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that יהוה, HE is Elohim; HE has made us, and we are HIS – HIS people and the sheep of HIS pasture. Enter into HIS gates with THANKSGIVING, And into HIS courts with praise. Give THANKS to HIM; bless HIS Name. For יהוה is good; HIS loving-commitment is everlasting, And HIS truth, to ALL generations.”

Tehillim (Psalms)‬ ‭100‬:‭1‬-‭5‬ ‭TS2009‬‬

“Loving God (YAH our ELOHIM) MEANS keeping His commandments, and His commandments are NOT burdensome.”

‭‭1 John‬ ‭5‬:‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Also, read Psalms: 136, 75, 106, 107, 118

Family, if this is your first year skipping the celebration of genocide & lies aka “Thanksgiving”, stay strong 💪🏾! You might feel alone, but you are not. You might be the only person in your house or immediate family, but you aren’t the only person coming out of these falsehoods. Many people are awakening daily, worldwide—HalleluYAH! Many of us so-called Negroes are leaving the customs, traditions, religious practices, and holidays of the world behind us, as we learn how to return to the practices of our Israelite ancestors, which we can all find in The Bible. If you are reading this after Thanksgiving, I pray that it was your last Thanksgiving and that you will enjoy the future feast days of YAH!

Until next time, shalom ✌🏾

More importantly, never forget that Franklin didn’t know that he should have never been celebrating their thanks-killin’ day in the first place… But now you know.

For more about the biblical feasts, the holy/set apart days of YAH, and how they differ from the unholy holidays of the world, here are some playlists that contain resourceful videos… Some of them shook me awake, because boy oh boy, I, like most people, loved Thanksgiving & Christmastime, that was until 2017 when I had to choose truth over tradition. Rude awakenings to truth, aren’t fun, but they are a blessing.

Once it opens, click through the playlist to see the various holidays which are covered.
