Before we go any further, know this, the following has nothing to do with the Semitic Ashkenazi Jews. Their history, culture, and bloodline are not the topic of this blog. Do your best to keep their association out of your mind as you continue reading. This blog pertains to the Israelite nation who are today called by many bywords like “Negroes”, “Blacks”, etc… This blog is not addressing anything concerned with European Jews or the State of Israel. Again, the following is about the bloodline descendants of Jacob/Israel; when speaking of Israel we are not talking about the State of Israel & its government, nor are we talking about religious or Jewish traditions; We are talking about the scattered people of the nation of Israel! Furthermore, we are not speaking solely about the 4th son & tribe of Judah/Yahudah, but also the other 11 sons & tribes of Israel as well, which combined make up the full 12 Tribes of The Nation of Israel.
Family, a lot of us who wake up to the truth, who awaken out of our slumber of ignorance of who we are, come to the knowledge that we are Hebrew Israelites (I’m going to stick with common English only today instead of Hebrew). Once we wake up to being Hebrew Israelites, we (like we often do), shorten things by simply saying that we are The Hebrews or “Brews”… there ain’t nothin wrong with that, it’s how many of us talk and it’s cool, as long as we all know what we are saying. But we must know and remember that there are multiple Hebrew nations… Let me say it again, there are millions of Brews in the world, but there is only 1 nation of Israel. If anything, our speech and nationality should be centered around being Israelite, and not just Hebrew.
As the classic children’s church song, which many of us grew up singing goes: “Father Abraham, had many sons, and many sons had father Abraham, I am one of them, and so are you…”, if you haven’t heard that song you can YouTube it. But as that song goes, let us remember some of the other sons of Abraham the Hebrew, who also became other nations of people:
Jacob, who was renamed by The Most High and called Israel, is the father/progenitor of the Israelites (that’s our great grandfather), we are Hebrews by being Israelites indeed. And as we read in Scripture and see in the image above, there are other Hebrew nations from Abraham, the two other major Hebrew nations are the Ishmaelites (from Ishmael) and the Edomites (from Esau/Edom). If we Israelites only declare that we are Hebrews, while not emphasizing that we are Israelites, it could lead some to miss the importance placed on the Israelites. We are our heavenly Father’s called out nation, we have a purpose & responsibility like no other nation, and we must never forget it—We are The Israelites and it’s time to do our Father’s business! How do we know and distinguish ourselves from our other Hebrew cousin nations? Well, let’s look at their promises along with ours.
The promises of Israel, start before Jacob/Israel was born, let’s look at what YAH promised to Abraham the Hebrew. Father Abraham the promise of tremendous blessing, and that blessing carried over to his Hebrew children:
“Now the Lord (YAH) said to Abram (later renamed Abraham), “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. And I will MAKE OF YOU A GREAT NATION, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and IN YOU ALL THE FAMILIES OF THE EARTH SHALL BE BLESSED.””
Genesis 12:1-3 ESV
Side note: the -ite suffix means descendants of; so Israelites are descendants of Israel, Ishmaelites of Ishmael, etc…
Ishmaelites, Edomites, and Israelites are blessed through the blessing bestowed upon Abraham. But each nation received its own holy/set apart blessings. Let’s look at the blessings of the Ishmaelites:
Isaac’s sons, the twins Jacob/Israel & Esau/Edom had a promise from YAH before they were born, and the extent of the promise overflowed to their respective children & nations:
“And Abraham said to God (Elohim), “Oh that Ishmael might live before you!” God said, “No, but Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac (who later becomes the father of Jacob/Israel). I will establish My covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his offspring after him. As for Ishmael, I have heard you; behold, I have blessed him and will make him fruitful and multiply him greatly. He shall father twelve princes, and I will make him into a great nation. BUT I will establish My covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this time next year.””
Genesis 17:18-21 ESV
“And the Lord (YAH) said to her (Rebekah, Abraham’s daughter in-law), “Two NATIONS are in your womb, AND two PEOPLES from within you shall be divided; the one shall be stronger than the other, the older shall serve the younger.””
Genesis 25:23 ESV
Now, let’s look at the blessings of the Edomites:
“Once when Jacob (Israel) was cooking stew, Esau came in from the field, and he was exhausted. And Esau said to Jacob, “Let me eat some of that red stew, for I am exhausted!” [Therefore his name was called Edom.] Jacob said, “Sell me your birthright now.” Esau said, “I am about to die; of what use is a birthright to me?” Jacob said, “Swear to me now.” So he swore to him and sold his birthright to Jacob (Israel). Then Jacob gave Esau bread and lentil stew, and he ate and drank and rose and went his way. Thus Esau (Edom) despised his birthright.”
Genesis 25:29-34 ESV
“Then Esau took his wives, his sons, his daughters, and all the members of his household, his livestock, all his beasts, and all his property that he had acquired in the land of Canaan. He went into a land away from his brother Jacob (Israel). For their possessions were too great for them to dwell together. The land of their sojournings could not support them because of their livestock. So Esau settled in the hill country of Seir. [Esau is Edom.]”
Genesis 36:6-8 ESV
We Israelites, carry not only the blessing of Abraham the Hebrew, but also these blessings, requirements & responsibilities of the Nation of Israel:
“Now therefore, if you (Israelites) will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, you shall be My treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is Mine; and you shall be to Me a KINGDOM OF PRIESTS AND A HOLY (set apart) NATION.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the people of Israel.” So Moses came and called the elders of the people and set before them all these words that the Lord (YAH) had commanded him. All the people answered together and said, “All that YAH has spoken we will do.” And Moses reported the words of the people to YAH.”
Exodus 19:5-8 ESV
““For you are a people (of Israel) holy (set apart) to the Lord (YAH) your God (Elohim/power). YAH your Elohim has chosen you to be a PEOPLE FOR HIS TREASURED POSSESSION, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. It was not because you were more in number than any other people that YAH set His love on you and chose you, for you were the fewest of all peoples, but it is because YAH loves you and is keeping the oath that he swore to your fathers (Abraham, Isaac and Israel), that YAH has brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Know therefore that YAH your Elohim is Elohim, the faithful Elohim who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love Him and keep His commandments, to a thousand generations,”
Deuteronomy 7:6-9 ESV
As we read above, in addition to the earthly & tangible blessings which the Hebrew Ishmaelite & Hebrew Edomite nations received, we Hebrew Israelites were further blessed and set apart from the nations of the world by our duty of being the chosen nation of priests unto YAH!
At this time, we find ourselves, as a people, as the nation of Hebrew Israelites, living collectively in the curses, not the blessings listed in Deuteronomy 28; because we disobeyed the commands of YAH. But know this, we are living in the time of change… the time of the Gentiles (non-Israelites) is almost complete.
“Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written, “The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob (Israel)”; “and this will be My covenant with them when I take away their (Israel’s) sins.””
Romans 11:25-27 ESV
All Israelites by flesh & blood are not part of the righteous nation of Israel. Since Israel entered into covenant with YAH, there have always been some within our family who renounce being part of Israel, by choosing to disobey our Father’s instructions. Let’s consider more from our brother Paul/Shaul about this:
“For I could wish that I myself were accursed and cut off from Christ (Mashiach) for the sake of my (Israelite) brothers, my kinsmen according to the flesh. They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises. To them belong the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Mashiach, who is YAH over all, blessed forever. Amen. But it is not as though The Word of YAH has failed. For NOT ALL who are descended from Israel belong TO Israel, and NOT all are children of Abraham because they are his offspring, BUT “Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.” This means that it is NOT the children of the flesh who are the children of YAH, BUT the children of The Promise are counted as offspring.”
Romans 9:3-8 ESV
“And Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: “Though the number of the sons of Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will be saved, for YAH will carry out His sentence upon the earth fully and without delay.” And as Isaiah predicted, “If YAH of hosts (heaven’s army) had not left us offspring, we would have been like Sodom and become like Gomorrah.””
Romans 9:27-29 ESV
So as we continue to awaken as the nation of Israel, as we come to collectively know who we are and to whom we belong, we have some things to do. Are they things that are too difficult for us? Of course not. What is required of us Israelites today, is the same that was required of our ancestors, and we have the benefit of being born after Yahoshua HaMashiach (whom the world erroneously calls “Jesus Christ”); we must follow & believe in Yahoshua, and we must fear our Father YAH & keep His commands just as Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 says.
Let us consider the “If/Then” promise of YAH below, found in this often-quoted but misunderstood & decontextualized verse:
“IF My people (Israel) who are called by My name humble themselves (step 1), and pray (step 2) and seek My face (step 3) and turn from their wicked ways (of breaking The Commandments) (step 4), THEN I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin (sin defined 1st John 3:4) and heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14 ESV
We Israelites must do exactly as YAH said in the verse above, and we must love our Father YAH the way which He told us—by obeying His commands (1 John 5:3). The other Hebrews, the: Edomites, Ishmaelites, and others, don’t have our exact & distinct responsibility. We Hebrew Israelites remember what is required of us:
“Here is a call for the endurance of the saints (set apart ones/Israelites), those (Israelites) who keep the commandments of God (YAH) AND their faith in Jesus (Yahoshua).”
Revelation 14:12 ESV
“And you (Israelites) shall AGAIN obey the voice of the Lord (YAH) AND keep All HIS Commandments that I command you today. The Lord (YAH) your God (Elohim/Power) will make you (Israelites) abundantly prosperous in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your womb and in the fruit of your cattle and in the fruit of your ground. For YAH will again take delight in prospering you (Israelites), as He took delight in your fathers, when you OBEY the voice of the YAH your Elohim, to KEEP HIS Commandments and HIS Statutes that are written in this Book of the Law (Torah/Instruction), when you turn (back as a nation) to YAH your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul. “For this commandment that I command you (Israelites) today is not too hard for you, neither is it far off. It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend to heaven for us (Israelites) and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ But The Word is very near you. It is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can do it. “See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil. IF YOU (ISRAELITES) OBEY the commandments of YAH your Elohim that I command you today, by loving YAH your Elohim, by walking in HIS ways, and by keeping HIS commandments and HIS statutes and HIS rules, THEN YOU (Israelites) shall live and multiply, and YAH your Elohim will bless you in the land that you are entering to take possession of it. BUT if your heart turns away, and you will not hear, but are drawn away to worship other gods and serve them, I declare to you today, that you (Israelites) shall surely perish. You shall not live long in the land that you are going over the Jordan to enter and possess. I call heaven and earth to witness against you (Israelites) today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live, loving YAH your Elohim, obeying His voice and holding fast to Him, for He is your life and length of days, that you may dwell in the land that YAH swore to your (Hebrew Israelite) fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob (Israel), to give them.””
Deuteronomy 30:8-20 ESV
Heaven & Earth still bear witness against us today, we are a hardheaded/stiff-necked people, a nation who seems to love disobeying our Elohim. Scripture is true and it tells our story: past, present, and future. Just as I said in the title, I will say it again as we close out: We Negroes are African, yes; We are Hebrews, yes; We are Shemites, yes; and most importantly, WE Are ISRAELITES and we have work to do! It’s time to learn what Kingdom work truly is and it’s time for us to get to work right now!
