Just like in the apocalyptic movie Don’t Look Up, people aren’t too concerned with looking up—especially with so many distractions around. They’ll say things like, ‘Oh, this can be explained by…’ or ‘That is caused by…’ But don’t let them dismiss what your own eyes and reasoning clearly see and understand.
Nevertheless, The Messiah instructed us to pay attention, reason, and LOOK UP:
“And when these things begin to come to pass, then LOOK UP, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”
Luke 21:28 KJV
Certain things must continue to take place, but let us even now, make ourselves ready. Let us continue to look up and lift our heads as we await our coming redemption. To understand the whys and hows of that verse, be sure to check out this sermon:
But, what do we look up to see now? Let us look closer to the start of the same chapter of Luke:
“Then said He (The Messiah, when speaking about the end-times) unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.”
Luke 21:10-11
Well… we can certainly look around and see the ever-increasing international calamities, but then we must look up to witness the sights and signs in the heavens—the signs of the times.
Unlike the newscasters in Don’t Look Up, in real life, as we saw in the Jason A video at the start of this blog, some real-life newscasters are marveling and wondering about the signs above us. They don’t know what’s happening and they are questioning what the teleprompters and so-called experts are telling them to report, that and most people in the world don’t seem to care—but we do. Why? Because we will head the words of The Messiah our King! Let us continue to read and meditate on what He said in Luke 21 and Matthew 24 as we Endure, Watch, and Pray.
Until next time, shalom ✌🏾
