Like in the apocalyptic movie “Don’t Look Up”, people aren’t all that concerned with looking up, especially because all sorts of distractions abound.
Nevertheless, The Messiah instructed us to LOOK UP:
“And when these things begin to come to pass, then LOOK UP, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”
Luke 21:28 KJV
As you might be able to tell, other things must happen before we look up & lift up our heads to see our redemption. To learn about the why’s & how’s of that verse, be sure to check out this sermon:
But, what do we look up to see now? Let us look closer to the start of the same chapter of Luke:
“Then said He (The Messiah, when speaking about the end-times) unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.”
Luke 21:10-11 KJV
Well… we can certainly look around us to see all of the ever-increasing, international calamities, but then we have to look up to see the sights & signs above in the heavens—the signs of the times. Unlike the newscasters in the “Don’t Look Up” movie, in real life, as we saw in the Jason A video at the start of this blog, real newscasters are actually marveling & wondering about the sights/signs above us in the heavens. They don’t know what’s going on, and the people of the world largely do not care, but we know what to do. Let us continue to read & meditate on Luke 21, as we Endure, Watch & Pray.
Until next time, shalom ✌🏾
